Beginning May of 2010, I led a complete network inventory of the Oklahoma Gas and Electric overhead and underground distribution system.   My operations team included one Osmose Sales Support Specialist, one Field Trainer, 6 Supervisors, 2 Data Coordinators and 70 Data Technicians.  The project was part of the OG&E Smart Grid Initiative and included an inventory of all utility assets as well as customer meter connectivity.  Over 2 million points of interest were captured in Oklahoma and Arkansas with a budget of $11 million.  The inventory included data associated with the following:


·          GPS location (3-5 meter accuracy)

·          Phasing and Connectivity

·          Pole Brand Information

·          Transformers

·          Switches and Switch State

·          Capacitors

·          Reclosers

·          Regulators

·          Wire Size/Type

·          Primary/Secondary Open Points

·          Customer Meter /SAP/CIS Information

·          Any Damage and/or Hazardous Conditions


As Manager of Operations for this massive undertaking, my responsibilities included the following:

·          Recruited and interviewed 100+ inexperienced Data Technicians for the field workforce.

·          Developed and managed a training program for these technicians detailing the concepts of electrical phasing, connectivity and overhead recognition of an electrical distribution system.

·          Developed a Quality Control and Quality Assurance program to achieve the 98% accuracy requirements as detailed by the project contract.

·          Managed the customer, OG&E, working through issues as they arose over the 2+ year duration of the job.

·          Calculated production projections and reported weekly/monthly profitability statistics.

·          Responsible for expense control, crew safety, quality data collection and consistent production rates.

·          I was always involved with the use of ESRI programs in the manipulation of data layer information for updates to current data, creation maps from scratch, etc.

My responsibilities included waste water and industrial waste sampling of five industries in the City of Denton and detailed inspection of these industries.  After a sampling event occurred, chains of custody were written and sent to various laboratories.  Upon receipt of the results, I reviewed them for any violations and issued any notices of violation if necessary.  I worked closely with my contact(s) at these industries to resolve any identified issues.  The database Linko CTS was used in order to track all events and laboratory results.

 

 

Environmental Monitoring Technician (April 2013 -June 2014)

I worked to improve water quality standards for the City of Denton.  This involved water sampling and restaurant inspections throughout the city.  I worked closely with the City of Denton GIS department to develop a program to track grit/grease traps and “hot spots” in the waste water system.  This program involved Trimble technology.
